First and foremost I have the grammer and spelling ability of a 9 year old. However I may not but commas in the right places and spell many words wrong but I have 4 year degree that only took me 6 years (would of stayed longer but the rents stop footing the bill) and at the age of 27 I own and operate 5 businneses including the rapidly growing Party Bomb Energy Shots which has the potential to be a BILLION dollar company within 5 years. And the reason that I am now blogging is because I read that I should to help promote my amazing Party Bomb Energy Shots. So for my first time I am going to give you a little timeline on how Party Bombs was started.
1990- I started bartending at the ripe age of 5 at my parents house parties. By bartending I would ask someone if they wanted a refill and hopefully they would tip me. This was the first time that I figured out I enjoyed parties and money.
1994- I started my first business which was selling items that I would get from going to c-store tradeshows. Back then companies would give away everything. After the NACS show in vegas I came home with 6 duffle bags full of profit. Most items were new products and I would get top dollar for them. This was also the first time my parents were called into school because I guess they didnt like my lil 100 percent profit enterprise. I think I remember the school saying it was like dealing drugs. It didnt stop me of course I just had to be a little more low key and that led to me raising my prices.
1999- After my 8th grade promotion I threw my first keg party. I didnt stop throwing parties at my parents house till I moved out in 2008.
2003- I was a senior in high school who smoked and drank on the reg. I was a little bit of a shithead and I had over 50 detentions to proove it, and my mom kept everyone of them and displayed them at my massive grad party. 13 kegs of beer and 1000's of people in my little small town of Warren. Sidenote I lived right in the middle of town and not one cop showed up. Had to be 500 drunk minors at the party.
2004- Despite all my fun habits I was one of the best athletes in the state of Ill. I however was on the worst football team in the smallest division in Illinois. And despite only scoring 4 tds and losing 18 games in a row I still was a blue chip athlete. I was being heavily recurited by the ILLINI and committed to them in Jan. The night before my family and I were set to depart on Champaigne to sign my letter of intent Coach Turner called to inform me that my transcripts came in and I was not eligible to play D1. My wonderful guidence counsler didnt let me know that I needed to take Algerbra 2 to get into a large college. When I asked him about it he stated that he didnt think I was going to go to a big school. I hate him for that. I ended up taking the class and passing which led to a call from Illini offering me to walk on. Luckily I just signed a scholarship to play for Quincy University a D2 school with 1200 students. So I went from the BIG TEN and 40,000 student college to a school and conference that I didnt even know existed. Turned out ok though I was all conference 4 years and 1st team AFCA All American my senior year which was the first time in Quincys History. However I always question myself on what would of happened if I made it to the big show. And in all honestly despite injury I think I would of made it to the League. The reason I bring this up is because I became an All American with out any desire to play the game. Now when my helmet was on and the game was on nobody played harder then me. However off the field everybody worked harder then me.
2009- Graduated college with a criminal justice degree and started interning with local police back home.
2009 and some-reliezed that being a po po was not my forte.
2010- Took on my first career. USED CAR SALESMAN. I sucked at selling cars but had a lot of fun. Worked on a small lot with 2 other guys who were married with kids and in there early 30's. Didnt make much money but learned alot in that 3 months. Then my grandpa who owned and operated 5 c-stores and an oil company which were both crazy successful ask me to take over as General Manager.
2011- In one day I went from being the owners kid who only came in for free gas and beer to boss. 4 out the 5 managers of the stores had worked for my family for over 10 years and to think they would ever listen to my thoughts and ideas was a hopefull idea at best. Also my father who ran Saunders Oil the fuel company pretty much halted every other idea I had which he has done and continues to do today. So basically I was a glorifed delivery boy making less then 30,000 grand a year but I did have a nac for the biz. I found out I could get someone to buy something that they had no intention of even purchasing before they walked in. I became oppsessed with products and why they sell and why they dont.
It was at this time that when I wasnt at work which was most of the time I was sitting at home depressed and dreaming of a way to be my own boss and possibly make lots of money in the process.
I had noticed that in the past 4 years energy shots were the number one growing product in our stores and if I asked 9 out of 10 people if they knew what a Chaser 5 hour was nobody would know. And ps 5 hour was called Chaser. It wasnt untill they changed the name to 5 hour energy that they became a billion dollar company. I think the energy drink boom actually started the energy shot boom. So one day sitting at my local pub smileys with now my Vice President MG over dollar mugs we both talked about how one could make a million dollars. And somehow after a few dozen mugs I had came up with the Party Bomb. I trademarked the next day. It wasnt until I went to a NACS confernce meeting and mention my idea to a few people in the biz that I decieded it was time to go. After a 15,000 investment the Party Bomb Energy Shot was born. In december 2011 we recieved our first bottles. In January my father fired me and I became Party Bomb fulltime. The day after he fired me I sold 7000 bottles to a novelty company.
2012 Its now September and were still kicking with 3 flavors and a whole new line called Long Haul Energy which is a tribute to my gpa, father and brother. Were well on are way to becoming what I thought we had the potential to do. So I hope you intrudced this BIO timeline and I look foward to blogging more.
